Perhaps due to extraordinary circumstances, you have a companion animal that you are no longer able to keep. Or, perhaps you have found a stray companion animal that needs help finding a new home. Please be aware that Claws & Paws is a foster based rescue with a goal of saving animals at risk of being euthanized from our county shelter. Claws & Paws has several methods to receive adoptable animals and place them in new homes. This area of our Web site will answer some of your questions and let you know what services you can expect from us.

Relinquishing

Claws & Paws is a Foster based Rescue group, therefore we have no shelter to place animals.  However, we will assist you in adopting your animal(s) if you are willing to foster the animal(s) until they are adopted.

Good Samaritan Program

If you have found a stray companion animal that you cannot keep, perhaps you can foster the companion animal until we can help get it adopted. We have a Good Samaritan program, which allows you to help us help a greater number of animals.

Assist to Place

This program was developed to help owners trying to place their animal.   The animal remains the property of the owner and they can be adopted in the Claws & Paws system or by the owner.   If you find you can no longer keep your animal and are wanting to place in this program please call 520-389-8875 for further details.

Spay Don’t Litter

Claws & Paws offers kitten and puppy placement services in order to encourage owners to spay or neuter their adult companion animals, while finding good homes for the offspring. If you wish to keep the mother, but surrender the litter to Claws & Paws for placement, we will have the mother spayed for you, call (520) 389-8875 about our “Spay don’t litter” placement program.
