What is Volunteering?

 

Claws & Paws Rescue was started by volunteers, and continues to rely heavily on volunteers to carry out the mission and goals of our organization. Without these dedicated people, we would not be able to run our adoption centers, nor provide foster homes for rescued companion animals.

 

Most of Claws & Paws Rescue’s Volunteers work directly with the animals – feeding and walking them, cleaning cages, providing transportation and simply giving them the love and care they deserve. Other volunteers handle the paperwork, answer phones and e-mail, make sure the animals get their shots, coordinate special events and complete grant applications, update our Petfinder site, and so on.

How to Become a Volunteer!

 

If you have a sincere interest in making a difference in an animal’s life, and understand the importance of being punctual and reliable, Claws & Paws Rescue may have a volunteer position for you.

 

Claws & Paws Rescue gladly accepts volunteers from all age groups (14 and up) and all backgrounds. If you have a sincere interest in making a difference in an animal’s life, and understand the importance of being punctual and reliable, Claws & Paws Rescue may have a volunteer position for you.

 

In order for our volunteers to have a safe and fun experience, all volunteers must attend a 1.5 hour orientation class before they can volunteer. Please take a moment to fill out an application on line.  You can, email it to info@clawsandpawsaz.org  or fax it to 520-579-9275.  We will notify you of the next class.  If you have any questions call 520-389-8875, our message phone and someone will get back to you soon.   If you are under the age of 18, we will need a parental signature on the application as well as, the volunteer contract.
